Wheelman: An Evening with Keith Pariani

The Lightner Museum offers a special event, Wheelman: An Evening with Keith Pariani, on Thursday, August 27, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The Wheelmen and Keith Pariani

Keith Pariani curated the antique bicycles and memorabilia displayed in Lightner's ongoing exhibit, Vintage Bicycles. He's a member of The Wheelmen, a national organization dedicated to the heritage of bicycles in America, and to restoring and maintaining antique cycles.

In 1976, Mr. Pariani was one of 27 Wheelmen who traveled from Dearborn, Michigan to Philadelphia to honor the Bicentennial, all riding antique big-wheeled bicycles. In 2026, he participated in the 2026 Golden Jubilee Tour with five other cyclists, commemorating the 50th anniversary of that tour and the nation's 250th birthday. This year, the Wheelmen left Dearborn on June 21 and arrived in Philadelphia 13 days later, on July 3. Keith shares his photos and stories from this effort. 

Event Details

Admission: $20.00 per person and $10.00 for museum members. You must make reservations in advance. You are invited to view the vintage bicycle exhibit after Keith's presentation.

Where: Lightner Museum, 75 King Street. Enter the side courtyard on Grenada Street. The evening starts in the main lobby.
