3rd Annual Marty Scott Memorial Music Fest and BBQ

The Third Annual Marty Scott Memorial Music Fest and Bar-B-Que will take place at Johnny's Restaurant. This fun party will include great food, music, raffles, and more.

The BBQ will be provided for by Captain Jack and the Ancient City Blues Society. The grilling starts at 2 pm. The live Music Fest will begin at 3 pm. This annual event has a line-up of 7 local bands! Visitors can hear live entertainment while enjoying delicious bar-b-que.

The raffle will include t-shirt, CD, and poster giveaways. Volunteers get in free, eat free, and automatically become official card carrying members of the Ancient City Blues Society! Contact Capt. Jack at 904-615-4341 or email them at [email protected] about volunteer opportunities.

This event is in memory of the late Marty Scott. Scott hosted the "Sunday Evening Blues Cruise" radio program for seventeen years. His show was heard by millions of people and Scott had many local, loyal followers. He was also involved with the "Blues in the Schools" programs and gave lectures and performances as well.

The Marty Scott Memorial party is sponsored by Johnny's Restaurant, WFCF 88.5 FM Flagler College Radio, and the Ancient City Blues Society. Tune into WFCF 88.5 FM Flagler College Radio on Sunday evenings from 6 pm - 9 pm to hear the "Sunday Evening Blues Cruise" show. The show is now hosted by Capt' Jack who took over the radio show and has been putting on the Marty Scott Memorial parties since Scott's passing three years ago.
