Guitarist Sharon Isbin performs with the chamber music ensemble, the Pacifica Quartet, on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.

The Pacifica Quartet, founded in 1994, has won a number of Grammy Awards and is often recognized as one of the best chamber ensembles currently performing. From Bloomington, Indiana, the members serve as quartet-in-residence at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. Members of the quartet are Simin Ganatra and Austin Hartman on violin, Mark Holloway on viola, and Brendan Vamos on cello.

Boston Magazine called Sharon Isbin the "pre-eminent guitarist of our time." She has been the subject of a one-hour documentary on Public Television, and in June was inducted into the 2023 Guitar Foundation of America Hall of Fame. BBC Music Magazine called Sharon "one of the world's great music collaborators," and she has performed with Sting at Carnegie Hall, on an album with soprano Isabel Leonard, Alma Española.

In 2019, the guitarist and ensemble released an album, Sharon Isbin & Pacifica Quartet: Souvenirs of Spain & Italy.
