The Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center presents "A Conversation with Civil Rights Attorney John Due" on Friday, August 10, 2018, at 7:00 p.m.

John Due is a member of the Florida Civil Rights Hall of Fame. He was a contemporary with Dr.Robert B. Hayling and served as the defense attorney for many protesters who were arrested here in St. Augustine during the 1960s. He helped to pioneer the tactic of moving civil rights cases to federal court to temper the biased decisions that were frequently made in Jim Crow states. Mr. Due will share his 60 years of experience as an advocate for civil rights and equality in education, criminal justice, government, and community.
