The Dr. Martin Luther King Celebration Committee of St. Johns County hosts St. Augustine's annual commemoration over three days in 2026:
- A breakfast at Renaissance St. Augustine Historic Downtown Hotel at 6 West Castillo Drive, on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 7:30 a.m.
- A birthday celebration at the New Mt. Moriah Christian Ministry, at 676 Christoper Street, St. Augustine, on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
- The 41st Annual Commemorative Silent March from 86 Martin Luther King Avenue to the Plaza de La Constitución, on Monday, January 19, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Commemoration Breakfast, Saturday
The 2026 commemoration breakfast theme is this quote by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., "Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly." Dr. Genae Crump, CEO of Crump Educational Consulting Group, LLC. Dr. Crump has extensive experience working with disadvantaged youth.

Annual Birthday Celebration, Sunday
Pastor Anthony Britton of the New Mt. Moriah Christian Ministry hosts the birthday commemoration celebrating the birth of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Where: New Mt. Moriah Christian Ministry, 676 Christopher Street, St. Augustine, Florida 32084
Silent March, Monday
The annual silent march will take place on Martin Luther King Day, Monday, January 19, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
The silent march begins at MLK Avenue and moves to the Plaza de la Constitución. There, the Tri-County Gospel Chorale will provide music, and Pastor Earl Glisson of Anchor Faith Church will give the address.
Admission: Free
When: Beginning at 9:00 a.m., on Monday, January 19, 2026.
Where: The march starts at 86 MLK Avenue (St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church parking lot). The march ends at the Plaza de la Constitución.
