The Dr. Martin Luther King Celebration Committee of St. Johns County hosts St. Augustine's 38th Annual Commemorative Event on Monday, January 16, 2023, to celebrate the memory of Dr. King and the great influence he had in the passage of the Civil Rights Act in 1964.

Flagler College will host a Commemorative Breakfast from 7:30 to 10 a.m. with guest speaker Melanie Lawson-Minor, Anchor for WJXT Channel 4 in Jacksonville.
The theme for this year's event is "No One is Free, Until We Are All Free."
As in years past, a silent march will be led by the Rev. Anthony Britton from 86 MLK Avenue to the Plaza de la Constitucion. The march commemorates the Dr. King-led marches in St. Augustine during the civil rights movement in the 1960s.

Admission: Breakfast tickets are $30. The march and presentation at the Plaza de le Constitucion are free and open to the public.
