The Flagler College Forum on Government and Public Policy presents Lee Rainie, former director of internet and technology research at Pew Research Center, who will speak on the topic, "AI & U."  Mr. Rainie's lecture will speak in the Virginia Room at the Flagler Student Center at 50 Sevilla Street, on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mr. Rainie's topic is "AI and U."

As Director of Internet and Technology Research for the Pew Research Center, Rainie provided leadership on more than 650 reports that examine people's online activities and the Internet's role in their lives. The American Sociological Association gave Rainie its award for "excellence in the reporting on social issues" in 2014 and described his work as the "most authoritative source of reliable data on the use and impact of the internet and mobile connectivity."

Now retired from Pew, Rainie is a lecturer and author. 

Flagler College's Forum on Government and Public Policy brings nationally recognized journalists, commentators, and speakers to St. Augustine to discuss issues at hand in regional, state, and federal government.
