On Friday, December 4, 2026, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., the St. Johns Cultural Council and the St. Augustine Amphitheatre present an evening with the Canadian duo, Mama's Broke, at the St. Augustine Waterworks. The evening offers two outstanding musicians and songwriters sharing their songs.
Mama's Broke
From Canada, Amy Keeler and Lisa Maria formed the duo Mama's Broke over a decade ago. They won the Canadian Folk Music Award for Ensemble of the Year in 2017 for Count the Wicked. The duo has built their audience one town and small venue at a time, performing in Canada, Appalachia, and Ireland, and beyond. At their start, they played on the street, traveled with other unproven musicians, and honed their skills, becoming a duo known for their close harmonies.
Their newest album, Reunion, has a release date of August 2026, and they are touring the U.S., Canada, and Europe in 2026 and 2027 to promote that album.

The Waterworks
Built in 1898, the St. Augustine Waterworks is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The city moved this waterworks facility to a new location after significant population growth. For a time, the building served as a community center and theater, and was later left unused. Now fully renovated again, this facility is accessible, has free parking, and yet retains its historic architectural properties and charm.
