Race to the Taste 5K Run & Walk
Sunday, April 25, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Amphitheatre
-
The 10th Annual Race to the Taste 5K Run and Walk will take place on Sunday, April 25, 2021, beginning at 11:00 a.m. The run is called Race to the Taste because it is part of the annual A Taste of St. Augustine event at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre.
Sponsored by EPIC Behavioral Healthcare, this is the only 5K connected to a food festival. Beginning at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, the in-and-out course goes through Anastasia State Park and the shaded neighborhoods of Anastasia Island, ending back at the grounds of the Amphitheatre, where A Taste of St. Augustine will be in full swing. Participants in the race (both runners and walkers) receive free admission for two to the tasting event and festival.
The Course: Race to the Taste is a 3.1-mile race on a certified course through Anastasia State park and surrounding neighborhoods. This run is an “out and back” race or more technically, a keyhole race; meaning the race begins and ends in the St. Augustine Amphitheatre parking lot.
Race to the Taste course is designed to be wider so as to accommodate a large field of runners. Walkers are welcome, as well as strollers; however strollers must start at the back.
Awards: Awards will be given to the first three finishers in various male and female age categories. Also, a $100 restaurant gift certificated will be awarded to the overall 1st place male and female finishers. The Race to the Taste awards will begin about 1 hour after the start of the race, or at around 11:30 am, depending on the time that the last runner/walker crosses the finish line.
Visit here to register.
