The Art Studio on St. Augustine Beach will hold an opening reception and silent auction event featuring live music from the national singer-songwriter Zoe Lewis and local duo, The Island Duet.
The Art Studio's opening reception and silent auction event will include a live performance from this award-winning performer. Lewis' music has been featured in national commercial campaigns and reached #1 in the XM Satellite Radio children's music charts.
Lewis plays jazz, jump jive, Latin grooves, swing, international folk, and funk originals on anything from the piano to the spoons! Troubadour/vaudevillian/storyteller/singer-songwriter/piece of work! She's traveled all over the globe picking up world-beat grooves and stories on the way; jumping box cars, riding on freight boats and has even played music with an elephant orchestra in Thailand! She's a mixture of swing, acoustic funk, Latin jazz and folk.
The Island Duet is a husband and wife violin and guitar duo. Caren and Paul Umbarger make wonderful music together. Their acoustic violin/guitar/vocal duet performs a diverse selection of styles including Folk, Rock, Gypsy, Jazz, and Beatles, Irish, Classical, Swing, R&B, and Show Tunes. This duo is experienced professionals whose musical versatility, original arrangements, and intimate style entertain audience members of all ages.
