35th Annual Statewide Preservation Conference

Florida Trust for Historic Preservation will host their three day 35th Annual Statewide Preservation Conference in St. Augustine in commemoration of the 500th anniversary of Ponce de Leon's discovery of La Florida and the 125th anniversary of the opening of Henry Flagler's Ponce Hotel, now Flagler College.
This year's conference will feature internationally-known speaker Donovan Rypkema, winner of the 2012 Louise duPont Crowninshield Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The event will be held in at the Flagler College dining room, the Lewis Auditorium and the Lightner Museum.
Other speakers will include:
Stephen Morris, Chief, Office of International Affairs, National Park Service, Washington, D.C.; Andrew Ferrell, Chief, Architecture and Engineering, National Center for Preservation Technology and Training, Natchitoches, Louisiana; Doug Appler, Ph.D., Helen Edwards Abell Endowed Chair in Historic Preservation, University of Kentucky; Calder Loth, Senior Architectural Historian, Virginia Department of Natural Resources; Antoinette Lee, Ph.D., historian, Virginia
