GRAMMY winning contemporary folk artist Shawn Colvin returns to the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall for a live concert.

The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall presents "An Acoustic Evening with Shawn Colvin" on Friday, March 29, 2019, at 8:00 p.m.

Contemporary folk arts Shawn Colvin is know for music that is characterized by her wit, lyricism, and empathy. She began playing the guitar at the age of 10. In the late 1970s, producer John Leventhal encouraged her to develop her own voice as a songwriter. Soon after, she landed a record deal with Columbia Records. Her debut album Steady On won a GRAMMY Award for Best Contemporary Folk Recording. Colvin's 1996 album, A Few Small Repairs received two GRAMMY awards: Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

In June 2016, Shawn Colvin and Steve Earle united to release Colvin & Earle, their acclaimed self-titled duo album. This album showcases the relationship between the two longtime friends and stands out as a high point in both their careers.

Shawn's most recent release is The Starlighter, which features songs adapted from the children's music book "Lullabies and Night Songs."

Admission: Tickets are $56.50 for Rows A through F and $46.50 for all remaining rows.

Where: The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall is located at 1050 A1A North in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Parking Information: Parking will be available onsite. There will be a $5 parking fee for ticketed events and for free events parking will also be free. For events not produced by the St. Johns County Cultural Events Division, parking fees will be at the discretion of the event producer.
