Afternoon Insight: Sea Turtles

Visitors can learn all about sea turtles at this free Afternoon Insight event at the GTM's Visitor Center.

The Guana Tolomato Matanzas Research Reserve offers free Animal Insight seminars on the third Wednesdays of themed educational months (February, April, June, and August), where guests can learn more about the plant and animal life of the estuarine habitat. The next lecture will be about sea turtles, and will take place from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at the GTM Visitor Center in Ponte Vedra Beach.

This event is an excellent opportunity for nature enthusiasts to learn more about the complex ecosystem of the Guana Tolomato Matanzas estuarine system. While the event is free, participants are required to register in advance.

Where: The Guana Tolomato Matanzas Research Reserve's Visitor Center is located at 505 Guana River Road in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida 32082.

The Guana Tolomato Matanzas Research Reserve's Environmental Education Center, where this event will take place, boasts natural and cultural history exhibits, aquariums, and a nature store. It also features outdoor recreational facilities including ten miles of hiking trails, three beach access points, a fishing area, and a picnic pavilion.
