Ancient City Limits
On Saturday, November 22, 2025, join Lullaby of the Rivers for a reception and live music concert featuring three of the area's best guitarists: Sam Pacetti, Michael Jordan, and Jonathan Dotson. The reception begins at 5:00 p.m., and the concert goes from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m.
The reception, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., is open to all ticket-holders. Wine, beer, and soft drinks are available for a donation. Local musicians will perform in the lobby, and everyone can mingle and chat before the concert.
The Concert
Presented by Lullaby of the Rivers, this is the first of several concerts under the Ancient City Limits banner, and billed as "Great Music. No Limits."
Jorge Rivera, producer of St. Augustine Tonight, hosts the evening, talking on stage with each of the performers about their craft.
Sam Pacetti is a master at finger-style guitar, creating a rich spectrum of sound that seems impossible on a single guitar. In addition to his own compositions, Pacetti performs music that includes Bach, Flamenco, and compositions by Richard Thompson. His knack for writing songs that invoke both existential thought and nostalgia has made him a top-tier songwriter in the Florida music scene.
Michael Jordan must be seen as well as heard, as he handles and works with the instrument like no other guitarist. His self-taught techniques include using the guitar as a percussion instrument, with open and irregular tunings. His sound is vibrant and captivating, and his performance is mesmerizing. Jordan tends to play Americana music, including folk, nitty-gritty Southern rock, delta blues, and modern hymns.
Jonathan Lee Dotson studied and teaches classical guitar and has won international competition prizes on four continents. His virtuosity and artistry are evident when he performs music from the 1500s, jazz standards, rumba, flamenco, and modern rock. Dotson frequently performs entire concerts for the Spanish guitar.
