Washington Oaks Gardens State Park presents Beginners Saltwater Fishing Clinics for kids on four consecutive Fridays in July.

  • Washington Oaks Gardens State Park will host Beginners Saltwater Fishing Clinic for kids and youngsters ages 8 to 17 on consecutive Fridays in July 2017. The clinics will take place from 9:00 a.m until 12:00 noon on July 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2017.

    Participants can learn how to identify saltwater fish and how to use a rod, reel and tackle. All the necessary supplies will be provided to workshop participants. The fee is $20 per workshop.

    The Friends of Washington Oaks debuted these fishing clinics in 2016, and they have been very popular. Advance registration is required, and they sell out fast. Please contact the park at (386) 446-6783 or visit here to reserve a spot.
