This Southern California swing revival band returns to the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall for a live concert.

Please Note: This event is from 2019

The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall presents Southern California swing revival group Big Bad Voodoo Daddy in concert on Thursday, November 7, 2019, at 8:00 p.m.

It's been 24 years since Big Bad Voodoo Daddy first arrived on the music scene. The Ventura, CA-based band, co-founded by singer Scotty Morris and drummer Kurt Sodergren, was on the forefront of the swing revival of that time, and in 1996 the band provided the soundtrack for the indie film Swingers, a movie that launched the careers of Vince Vaughan and Jon Favreau and introduced Big Bad Voodoo Daddy to an audience beyond their California base. Since then, they have toured virtually nonstop (with an average of 150 shows a year) and sold over two million albums to date.

The members of the band are Scotty Morris (lead vocals and guitar), Kurt Sodergren (drums), Dirk Shumaker (double bass and vocals), Andy Rowley (baritone saxophone and vocals), Glen "The Kid" Marhevka (trumpet), Karl Hunter (saxophones and clarinet), and Joshua Levy (Piano and arranger).
