Bird Walk at Fort Mose

Fort Mose State Park offers a free guided bird walk from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, and on Sunday, September 15, 2019. The walk will be led by a park volunteer, and is free for anyone who would like to participate.
Fort Mose is located along the Atlantic Flyway and boasts several natural environments where birds thrive, including an estuarine tidal marsh, a maritime hammock, and "Rookery Island," which is home to many nesting species in the spring.
Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather and bring binoculars, water, comfortable walking shoes, and a field guide if they have one.
Admission: The guided bird walk is free and open to the public. Entrance to the grounds of Fort Mose is also free, although there's a $2.00 fee to enter the Visitor Center.
