Birding at Faver-Dykes

Let an expert from the Audubon Society introduce you to birding on a walk along the Pellicer Creek at Favor-Dykes State Park.

The St. Johns Audubon Society will host a bird walk at Faver-Dykes State Park on Thursday, February 20, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Peggy Cook and Dave Wiinikainen will lead the bird walk in the area around Pellicer Creek, which makes up the southern border of the park. Participants can expect to see songbirds, warblers, eagles, and falcons, as well as wading birds such as egrets, white ibis, and herons.

Events like this birding program are offered by the Friends of Washington Oaks Gardens State Park, a community-based not-for-profit organization whose mission is to preserve, protect, promote, and provide interpretation at Washington Oaks Gardens and Faver-Dykes State Park.

Admission: Free with regular park admission, which is $5.00 per vehicle.
