Please note: The Blackberry Festival and Family Farm Lunch has been cancelled.

The Rype and Readi Farm Market will celebrate Florida's peak blackberry harvest with a Blackberry Festival and Family Farm Lunch Festival on Saturday, May 26, 2018. Guests will enjoy a variety of activities as well as a delicious farm lunch. Local blackberries from St. Johns Oaks Farm will be available for sale.

Activities at this family-friendly festival will include "cabbage chunkin' catapulting," hay rides, kite flying, a petting zoo, and live music. The lunch will feature fruit salad, Minorcan chowder, blackberry barbecue chicken with potato salad and green beans, and a variety of blackberry specialties, including blackberry tarts and blackberry lemonade. A cash bar will be available.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the St. Johns River-to-Sea Loop Alliance, which administers and promotes America's Original Farm-to-Fork Corridor. This corridor is made up of farmland that has been providing food for the people living in the St. Augustine area since the Timucuan Indians first farmed it and European settlers first arrived in 1565.

Admission: Guests should reserve their seats now for the farm lunch. Ticket prices are $19.50 for adults and $9.50 for kids two and older if purchased in advance, and $25.00 per person if purchased on the day of the festival.
