Two acclaimed musicians, singer/songwriters Aimee Mann and Ted Leo, perform together as The Both at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on Friday, January 16, 2015, at 8 p.m. (gates open at 7 p.m.).
Mann and Leo have solid, critically-acclaimed careers behind them, with an amazing amount of experience going back to the 1990s. Their friendship began in 2012, and their partnership has evolved into a unique collaborative sound.
Aimee Mann's career began with her debut album, Whatever, and with the founding of her record label, SuperEgo, around the same time. Punk/indie singer and multi-instrumentalist Ted Leo is best known for his work with Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, and has had a strong solo career since the late 1990s.
Opening the concert will be Laura Jane Grace, a major figure of the modern rock scene who writes songs that address political issues, environmentalism, and her own personal story of gender transition, which she has shared in the pages of Rolling Stone and OUT magazines.
Admission: Tickets are $30 per person for general admission, standing room only.
