Bottle Rockets and Chuck Prophet & The Mission Express

The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, in partnership with Flying Saucer Presents, welcomes roots rockers Bottle Rockets and Chuck Prophet & The Mission Express in a live concert on Friday, February 16, 2018.

Bottle Rockets started playing in 1992, and their punk-rock pedigrees and energetic arena-rock style music brought them to the forefront of the music scene.  Reuters/Hollywood Report says of the group, "Before the Drive-By Truckers got in gear … the Bottle Rockets were setting off M-80s as perhaps the most underappreciated roots-rock/Americana band of the mid-'90s."  Bottle Rockets released two highly acclaimed albums, Bottle Rockets and The Brooklyn Side, which have become iconic recordings of the genre.

Chuck Prophet describes the music on his most recent album, Bobby Fuller Died For Your Sins, as "California Noir." With 13 original songs that tell the story of the mysterious 1966 death of rocker Bobby Fuller, the album explores themes of loneliness, fate, and violence, all with the full range of a songwriter at the top of his game. Prophet is backed by Mission Express, a band featuring featuring his wife Stephanie Finch (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Kevin White (bass), Vicente Rodriquez (drums, vocals) and James DePrato (guitar).

Admission: Tickets are $43.50 for Rows A through F, $36.50 for Rows G through Q, and $29.50 for for all remaining rows.
