Cantorae Concert Honoring the Sisters of St. Joseph

The St. Augustine Art Association is hosting a special concert by the Cantorae Vocal Ensemble on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at 3 p.m. The concert is presented in conjunction with the Art Association's special exhibit, "Brave Women: 150 Years of Courage," which commemorates the 150th anniversary of St. Augustine's Sisters of St. Joseph.

The concert will feature songs, readings and images that reflect the historical importance of the Sisters of St. Joseph in the nation's oldest city. Their arrival, service and courage will be highlighted by this concert in Latin, French and English, which will include chant, spirituals and even a bit of Stephen Foster.

The exhibition of original works of art by the Sisters of St. Joseph will be featured in the gallery from May 6 - 29, 2016.
