The Corazón Cinema in downtown St. Augustine will host the inaugural Cinema Verde International Environmental Film and Arts Series from Friday to Sunday, October 21 to 23, 2016. The festival will include showings of a variety of award-winning films and documentaries about the environment, as well as a gala opening reception on Friday.
The mission of Cinema Verde is to provide education about the environment through film, arts, workshops, events, and other media. The organization seeks to increase public awareness of environmental practices that enhance public health and improve quality of life in urban, suburban and rural settings.
Over 20 award-winning films will be shown during this three-day festival, some of them screening more than once to accommodate personal schedules. On the evening of Friday, October 21, 2016, there will be a VIP Opening Night Reception at the Corazón Cinema from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The complete list of films and event schedule is posted below.
Admission: Ticket prices fare $10 per person for each film. The Opening Night Reception is $25. A VIP pass is available for $100 that gives access to all the films and events. Bulk ticket pricing is also available. Visit here to purchase tickets.
