JJ Grey & Mofro Benefit Concert

North Florida's own Southern Swamp Rock group JJ Grey & Mofro will host a benefit concert, "Cuz We Love Cuz," at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on Sunday, April 29, 2018.  

JJ Grey & Mofro, a local band that has become nationally known for their powerful combination of blues and soul, rock and funk, is a staple at many music festivals, including Bonnaroo, Rothbury, and Austin City Limits.

As a boy, Grey was drawn to country-rockers like Jerry Reed, as well as to Otis Redding and the other legends of Memphis soul. Meanwhile, however, Run-D.M.C. was being played on repeat in the parking lot of his high school. Merging these traditions, and working with a blue-collar ethic, Grey began touring as Mofro in the late '90s. In 2001, he released his debut LP Blackwater, which went on to become a favorite among roots-rock fans. With JJ Grey & Mofro's most recent album, Ol' Glory, Grey returns to his country, blues and soul roots.

Admission: General admission standing room only tickets are $40.00 per person.

Parking Information: Parking is available onsite for a $5 parking fee for ticketed events. For free events, parking is free. For events not produced by the St. Johns County Cultural Events Division, parking fees will be at the discretion of the event producer.
