EMMA Concert: Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra

Perhaps, the leading professional ragtime orchestra in the U.S., the Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra will perform as part of the EMMA Evening Concert Series at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021. 

Formed by young virtuoso Andrew Greene in 2010, the Ragtime Society Orchestra captures the distinctive musical stylings of a bygone era and features original orchestral scores to classic silent films. The Orchestra's concert programs highlight the music of the late 1800s and early 1900s, with selections by composers such as Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, W.C. Handy, Victor Herbert, George M. Cohan, and of course, the King of Ragtime, Scott Joplin.
