The EMMA Concert Association presents one of the finest collegiate jazz ensembles in the country, the University of North Florida Jazz Ensemble, in a performance on Sunday, April 3, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in Lewis Auditorium.

The flagship ensemble of the University of North Florida Jazz Studies Program, the UNF Jazz Ensemble is headed by famed alto saxophonist Bunky Green. The Ensemble has won many group and individual awards and has gained recognition from such publications as Cadence, Jazz Times, and DownBeat for its improvisational talent and precision performances.

The Great American Jazz Series, a component of the UNF Jazz Studies Program, regularly brings in well-known jazz artists as residents. Past residents have included Herbie Hancock, Joe Henderson, Pat Metheny, Dave Brubeck, and Wynton Marsalis.
