Ponte Vedra Concert Hall will host An Evening with George Winston on Friday, February 23, 2018.

Beloved folk pianist George Winston is one of the most celebrated solo pianists in the world. He has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide. The proceeds from his latest release, Spring Carousel, will go to benefit City of Hope, a not-for-profit clinical research center in California.

Inspired by the rock n' roll of The Doors, Winston began playing organ in 1967. Four years later he switched to acoustic piano after hearing recordings from legendary stride pianists Thomas "Fats" Waller and Teddy Wilson. Also influenced by the likes of Floyd Cramer, the Ventures, Booker T & The MG's, and Jimmy Smith, George Winston has developed a playing style as unique and eclectic as his background.
