The First Coast Slow Food Tour de Farm gives visitors a chance to visit a number of area farms and learn about the local food production process, as well as to meet local chefs, sample fresh produce, attend workshops and more. This year's Tour de Farm will take place on Sunday, November 19, 2017, from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.

More than 25 local farms open their gates for this tour, inviting the community to come see the farms, sample the produce, and meet the farmers as well as local chefs and artisans who are committed to using locally-grown ingredients.

Local farms that will be participating in this year's event include Berry Good Farm, GYO Greens, Beam Grace Garden, Ben Wells Produce, Frog Song Organics, and Rype & Readi. The farms are located throughout the First Coast, from Hastings and Elkton to Ponte Vedra and the Jacksonville area.

The First Coast Slow Food Tour de Farm makes it easy to take the tour by offering a Car Pass, which is valid for an unlimited number of farm visits. Details on the farms that will be open for this year's tour will be posted here as soon as the information becomes available.

Slow Food First Coast is a nonprofit organization committed to strengthening the connection between local food, strong farms and healthy communities.
