Flagler College's Forum on Government and Public Policy offers free talks that focus on cultural and political ideas.

  • Flagler College's Forum on Government and Public Policy offers fascinating lectures on political and cultural topics ranging from global dynamics and the internet to federalism and federal finances. Ordinarily held at Lewis Auditorium, this year, the events will be held virtually, each on a specific day and time. The first forum of this season will be held at January 19,2021, at 4:00 p.m.

    The speaker will be William “Bill” Douglas, staff writer for Mr. Douglas is also the author of the blog, “The Color of Hockey,” and will present on the topic of “Athletes, Politics and Sport.” Douglas has been a White House correspondent and has worked on presidential campaigns for candidates from both parties. Previously, he worked at New York's Newsday, covering education as well as state and national politics.

    Flagler College’s Forum on Government and Public Policy brings nationally recognized journalists, commentators, and speakers to St. Augustine to discuss issues at hand in regional, state, and federal government. This forum has promoted intellectual talk about government and public policy for over 30 years at Flagler College.
