    Flagler College begins its Community Lecture Series for 2016-17 on select Tuesdays in September, October, November, and December of 2016. The topic of this lecture series is "Challenges at the Crossroads: Finding Solutions to Local Issues," which will address the challenges higher education faces in a world of constantly changing variables.

    The lecture series will begin on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, with Jim Toedtman's talk on " Finding Solutions to Local Issues: A Citizen's Toolkit for This Election Year."

    'Havac! Havoc! Smyt fast, give gode knocks!:' The Role of Higher Education in the Modern American City

    The Flagler College Community Lecture Series began in 2007 to offer the St. Augustine community an opportunity to explore topics covering arts, religion, politics, culture, history, economics and more with experts on the Flagler College faculty.

    The Community Lecture Series is hosted monthly in the college's Solarium, the centerpiece of Henry Flagler's Ponce de Leon Hall. Tickets are $5 per person for a single lecture, or $15 for four lectures. Active military personnel may attend at no charge. Lectures begin at 10 a.m., and no reservations are required. Each lecture lasts approximately one hour and will be followed by a coffee and pastry reception. For more information, visit here.
