Flagler College hosts a panel on "Climate Change and Cultural Resources," as it winds up its 2016 Ideas and Images lecture series on the impact of climate change on coastal communities. The panel is free and open to the public, and will take place at Lewis Auditorium on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 7 p.m.
Among the speakers and topics to be discussed at the panel are "Weather It Together: Protecting our Historic Seaport," presented by Lisa Craig, Planner, Chief of Historic Preservation, City of Annapolis; "Planning for Cultural Resource Climate Change Impacts," presented by Adrienne Burke, J.D., Community Development Director, City of Fernandina Beach, Florida; and "Sea Level Rise and Local Government Responses: Lessons from the Florida Keys," presented by Jason Evans, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Environmental Science, Stetson University.
The Ideas and Images series offers lectures and readings from a variety of renowned scholars, artists and authors. The 2016 schedule of this lecture series features discussions and readings on "Our Coastal Heritage at Risk: Climate Change, Coastal Communities and Cultural Resources."
