  • Coronavirus Update: St. Johns County Parks Department has cancelled all events at county parks. Most parks remain open, but all special programs are cancelled.

    The St. Johns County Naturalist Program and the National Park Service offers free guided kayak tours in the waters that surround Fort Matanzas over two long weekends in March 2020. The tours will be held from Thursday to Saturday, March 12 through 14, and Friday to Sunday, March 27 through 29, 2020. Start times vary; see details below.

    The three-hour tours offer participants a whole new perspective of Fort Matanzas as they paddle through the marsh to experience the Southeast Intracoastal Waterway Park. Places are limited, so please visit here to make a registration.
