Founders Day Feast at Fountain of Youth

    After the festivities at the Mission of Nombre de Dios for the landing of Pedro Menendez come to the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park for a Thanksgiving feast! Sixteenth century re-enactors present an accurate portrayal of the First Thanksgiving Dinner which occurred in 1565. Fifty-five years before the arrival of the Pilgrims in New England, Spanish colonists sat down with Native American for a Feast of Thanksgiving.
