Furry Paws Festival

The Furry Paws Festival, a fundraiser for K9s for Warriors, will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

The event is designed for the whole family to enjoy, while raising awareness and donations for K9s for Warriors. There will be canine demonstrations, face painting, live entertainment, and food trucks. on site. There will be a demonstration by the St. Johns County Sheriff's Department K9 Unit at 11:00 a.m., followed by the Pet Costume Contest at 12:00 noon and the Dashing Dachshund Doggie Race at 1:00 p.m. 

K9s for Warriors is dedicated to providing service canines to our warriors suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury and other traumas as a result of military service post 9/11. Their goal is to empower them to return to civilian life with dignity and independence. The dogs being trained are also getting a new "leash" on life, as they are all rescue animals.

Admission: Free, but donations are welcome.
