The inaugural Conquistador Festival at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds will benefit the Florida National Guard Foundation and Friends of Jacksonville Animals.

  • Music, food, fun and games will be on the agenda at the inaugural Conquistador Festival from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021.

    The all-day event will also include a Best Decked-Out Motorcycle contest to raise money for the Florida National Guard Foundation.

    Music will be provided throughout the day and will include local bands Duval County Line, Whiskey Heart and Southbound 41. Duval County Line is an Americana band that performs Southern rock, country and blues. The four-piece variety band Whiskey Heart covers country, Southern rock, blues and 90s alternative favorites, and Southbound 41 is an Allman Brothers tribute band.

    Founded in 1983, the Florida National Guard Foundation helps preserve the heritage of the Florida National Guard. In 2001, the organization’s mission expanded to include providing economic assistance to members of the Florida National Guard, their families and veterans. Since 2001, the foundation has provided more than $5 million in assistance to its members, their families, veterans and families of the fallen.

    Participants are asked to bring a can/bag of dog or cat food to benefit Friends of Jacksonville Animals.
