On Saturday, February 13, 2016, Ponte Vedra Concert Hall presents The James Hunter Six.

Having grown up in working class Colchester, England, James Hunter did not let his blue collar status dim his passion for the music of the 50s and 60s. Hunter had a stint touring as a backup singer with Van Morrison, but did not catch his break until a record company big wig found him busking. He released his first album in the United States in 2006 called People Gonna Talk. It is aptly titled, as Hunter generated a lot of buzz and excitement as the latest British blues, soul, and R&B phenomenon.

His next two albums, The Hard Way and Minute by Minute, see the soulful Englishman continuing to ascend. His groove is tighter than ever, and he brings it to Ponte Vedra Concert Hall for a night of blues, soul, funk, and rock 'n roll.
