Iconic blues artist John Mayall performs on Saturday, October 15.

Please Note: This event is from 2016

The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall welcomes legendary blues artist John Mayall, who has played with such greats as Eric Clapton, Mick Taylor and John McVie over his long career going back to the 60s. He will perform on Saturday, October 15, 2016.

Mayall was an integral part of The British Blues Boom of the late 60s, and went on to form a professional group under the name John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. Eric Clapton joined the group a couple of years after after quitting the Yardbirds.

His unique take on the Chicago-style blues he'd grown up listening to soon brought him fame in the U.S. His 1969 acoustic live album, The Turning Point, went gold, and the album's hit song "Room To Move" became a rock classic. Mayall released several albums in the 90s that have set new standards in rock blues: Behind The Iron Curtain, Chicago Line, and the Grammy-nominated Wake Up Call.
