Lincolnville Live! Concerts at St. Cyprian's

The Romanza Festivale presents a series of Lincolnville Live! concerts at St. Cyprian's Church on Tuesday and Thursday, May 7 and 9, 2019. The free evening concerts will take place in St. Cyprian's courtyard, known as "The Commons."

The concert on Tuesday, May 7, will feature DRUMBEAT, a group of ten students from the St. Johns Youth Academy, from from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m., followed by the Outta Sight Band from 7:15 to 8:00 p.m. DRUMBEAT, an acronym for Discovering Relationships Using Music Beliefs Emotions Attitudes and Thoughts, is a program that incorporates hand drumming to achieve measurable changes in social behavior. The Outta Sight Band is made up of talented musicians from the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind, supported by faculty members Jim Carpenter, Elizabeth Roth, and Bill Sabo.

On Thursday, May 9, the Lincolnville Live! at the Commons concert will feature the Golden Flames Dance Troupe (6:30 to 7:00 p.m.), the longest-running performance team in St. Johns County, formed to inspire and motivate students to express themselves through dance. From 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., several ensembles from the St. Augustine Concert Band will perform, including Flo Sharp's flute quartet, Jim Bradner's clarinet quintet, and Robbie Zukauskas' saxophone trio.

Everyone is invited to bring their lawn chairs and relax in the lovely courtyard while watching some inspiring artists at work.
