The Low-Country Boil and Beer Festival will be held at the St. Augustine Municipal Marina on Saturday, March 19, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. This free event offers fun for the whole family, with live music, BBQ chicken, beer, and the best low-country boil around -- all to benefit St. Augustine's homeless shelter, St. Francis House.

The festival will feature live music, silent auctions, appearances by pirates and mermaids, and performances by Blue Lotus Bellydance. Beach Bum Pirate Code Rum will offer special tastings for those who are over 21.

A full plate of BBQ chicken or low-country boil, with all the sides, is only $10. Hamburgers are available for kids for $6.

All proceeds from the event will benefit St. Francis House, which offers housing crisis and essential services to St. Johns County individuals and families in need. Their mission is "to engage the homeless in achieving stability, self-sufficiency, and a viable plan for their future by providing a safe, stable environment ... and to advocate for changes that address the needs of the homeless population."
