The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall presents Marcia Ball with Amy Speace on Friday, October 23, 2015, at 8:00 p.m.

Born in Texas and raised in Louisiana, Ball's music is an artistic mixture of Texas stomp-rock and Louisiana blues-swamp.  As a genre-crossing artist, she is able to captivate her audience with groove-laden New  Orleans style boogie and poignant ballads. She is a GRAMMY nominated artists and has been inducted into both the Gulf Coast Hall of Fame and the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. Ball has received six Living Blues Awards and nine Blues Music Awards. Her most recent release, The Tattooed Lady and The Alligator Man, takes listeners on a musical meandering of the flavors and characters of the Gulf Coast.

Amy Speace began her musical career in New York City as a Shakespeare actress for experimental production companies. Legend Judy Collins recorded Speace's debut song "The Weight of the World" and effectively launched Speace's career as a folk singer-songwriter. Her debut song was named the # 4 song of the decade by DJ Platt on NYC WFUV. She has appeared at various festivals including Rocky Mountain Folk Festival, Philadelphia Folk Festival, and the Kerrville Folk Festival. That Kind Of Girl is her most recent album.
