Musicians Across the Straits

Local musicians perform to raise money for a community project in Havana.

The Limelight Theatre presents Musicians Across the Straits, a special edition of the Limelight's Music in the Box series, on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at 7 p.m.

A group of well-known local musicians plan to act as goodwill ambassadors to Cuba by traveling there in the spring of 2016 as part of a grassroots community project in Havana called Quinta de los Molinos. This project seeks to promote the social inclusion of children and youth with intellectual disabilities, and is sponsored by the Friendship Association. Performing in this concert are local favorites Sam Pacetti, The WillowWacks, Danielle Eva, Rusty Springfield, David Holley, Chris Carlson, Duffy Bishop, Jim Quine, and Lis Williamson.

The performance will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the intimate "black box" setting of the Limelight's Koger-Gamache Studio. This concert is part of Limelight's "Music in the Box"  which takes place on the last Sunday of each month in 2015.

Admission: $20 per person donation is requested. Beer, wine, soda and snacks are available for additional donations in the Limelight Theatre's lobby. Free parking is available in the theatre's parking lot.

When? Sunday, September 27, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Where? The Limelight Theatre is located just north of the historic district at 11 Old Mission Ave. in St. Augustine.
