NABA Butterfly Count

Visitors will enjoy nature and contribute to a nationwide butterfly population monitoring program at this special event.

The GTM Research Reserve Chapter of the North American Butterfly Association (NABA) will host a Butterfly Count on Monday, June 27, 2016, at the Guana Tolomato Matanzas Environmental Education Center.

This event will bring together the public and a dedicated group of local naturalists for a day of butterfly watching to assist with a nationwide program that monitors butterfly populations. While prior knowledge of butterflies is a plus, it is not required for participation in this event.

When: Monday, June 27, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: The Guana Tolomato Matanzas Research Reserve's Environmental Education Center is located at 505 Guana River Road in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida 32082.

The Guana Tolomato Matanzas Research Reserve's Environmental Education Center boasts natural and cultural history exhibits, aquariums, and a nature store. It also features outdoor recreational facilities including ten miles of hiking trails, three beach access points, a fishing area, and a picnic pavilion.
