The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall presents hip-hop and folk rock artist Nahko and his "My Name is Bear Tour" on Friday, March 16, 2018, with guests The Late Ones and Xiuhtezcatl.
Nahko Parayno grew up with his adoptive family in Oregon, where he began to play piano at age 6 and went on to give music lessons and direct musical productions for local schools. As a sixth-generation Apache/Mohawk with a Puerto Rican mother and a Filipino father, Nahko was drawn to international music with multi-generational and multi-cultural roots. Together with his backing group, Medicine for the People, he is celebrated for his percussion-heavy mix of musical styles that they call "thump-hop."
