April is Child Abuse Awareness Month, and on Thursday, April 23, 2020, St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS) will present its 7th Annual Party for Prevention. The event is completely free and will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the SAYS campus south of downtown St. Augustine.
Various community organizations get together to offer family-friendly activities, ranging from from corn hole tournaments to face painting and giant chess boards, for this annual party, which is designed to raise awareness about the importance of preventing child abuse. The event also marks the opening of the SAYS Hardy Family Playground and the 5th anniversary of the group's Mobile Crisis Response Team.
Food and drink will be available for purchase. There will be live music and other entertainment.
St. Augustine Youth Services is dedicated to reducing the risk of child abuse and neglect, supporting families, and promoting children's emotional well-being.
