The Psychedelic Furs: "The Singles Tour"

Ponte Vedra Concert Hall welcomes the return of modern rock luminaries The Psychedelic Furs on Saturday, September 23, 2017. The iconic alternative rock group  will present their current show, "The Singles Tour," with special guests Bash & Pop, fronted by Tommy Stinson of The Replacements.

Led by the Butler brothers, this English post-punk band originally formed in 1977, and their varied music career has had a lasting impact on the content and sounds of contemporary alternative rock. The Psychedlic Furs found critical success in the United States with their 1981 album Talk, Talk, Talk.

The 1981 single "Pretty in Pink" was later re-recorded after inspiring John Hughes' 1986 film of the same name. Their other chart-topping singles include "Love My Way" and "Heartbreak Beat." In the early 1990s, the band split apart but was later re-united in 2000.

The band's current members are Richard Butler (vocals and songwriter), Tim Butler (bass), Rich Good (guitar), Mars Williams (saxophone), Amanda Kramer (keyboards), and Paul Garisto (drums).

Tommy Stinson, co-founder  of the seminal band The Replacements who is coming off an 18-year stretch playing bass with stadium rockers Guns N' Roses and a Replacements reunion tour, fronts for Bash & Pop. The group's most recent album is Anything Could Happen.

Admission: Reserved seating tickets are $63.00 for Rows A through H, $53.00 for Rows J through Q, and $43.00 for all remaining rows.

Parking Information: Parking is available onsite for a $5 parking fee for ticketed events. For free events, parking is free. For events not produced by the St. Johns County Cultural Events Division, parking fees will be at the discretion of the event producer.
