Robert Earl Keen and His Band with Guest Ben de la Cour
(904) 209-0399The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall proudly presents Texas singer/songwriter Robert Earl Keen and His Band with guest Ben de la Cour in concert on Saturday, March 11, 2017.
It's been three decades since Robert Earl Keen's debut album, and with a dozen covers and thousands of shows under his belt, Keen has gained recognition and an ardent fan base that has earned him living-legend status in the Americana music world.
A native of Houston, Keen has been influenced by musicians ranging from Cream to Willie Nelson. Keen has played with Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, and Lyle Lovett over his career — a journey that can be summed with the title of his anthemic song, "The road goes on forever…" (which is loudly completed by his audience: "…and the party never ends!").
Brooklyn-raised Ben de la Cour has been an amateur boxer, janitor, bartender, and agricultural worker, and has lived in Paris, Nashville, Los Angeles, London, and New Orleans before settling in Nashville. His songs tell the stories of troubled lives and have been described as Americanoir. His most recent album is Midnight in Havana.
