Author Roger Smith will be on hand to sign his book, The 14th Colony: George Washington's Planned Invasions of East Florida, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at the Colonial Quarter.

Dr. Roger Smith is a well-known author, guest speaker, and research historian with Colonial Research Associates in St. Augustine. His first book in his popular series focusing on Colonial era Florida is an account of George Washington's caution against a mobilized force from British St. Augustine and the role St. Augustine played in the War of Independence. 

The 14th Colony is Book One in a five-part series on unique stories of Florida and the southern colonies during the first five years of the American Revolution. For more information on the series and on Colonial Research Associates, visit here.
