Romanza Presents ...

On Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., the Romanza Festivale presents The Gainesville Brass with organist Thomas Rodgers, at the Trinity Parish Episcopal Church.

The Gainesville Brass Quintet has performed since 1985. The quintet performs for ceremonies, patriotic celebrations, weddings, church services, public and educational concerts, and other occasions. Currently, the members of the Gainesville Brass quintet are Charles Proper on trombone, Cliff Newton and Joe Jamerson on trumpets, Will Winter on French horn, and Casey Wood on tuba.

Thomas Rodgers is from western Pennsylvania and retired to St. Augustine, where he can be found playing the organ during a concert or church service. Thomas studied church music at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey, and spent most of his career as the music director at the Presbyterian Church of Bound Brook in the same state.

This performance includes works written for a brass quintet, and those written for brass and organ.
