Romanza Presents ...
On Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., the Romanza Festivale presents The Gainesville Brass with organist Thomas Rodgers at the Trinity Parish Episcopal Church.
The Gainesville Brass Quintet has performed since 1985. The quintet performs for ceremonies, patriotic celebrations, weddings, church services, public and educational concerts, and other occasions. Currently, the members of the Gainesville Brass quintet are Charles Proper on trombone, Cliff Newton and Joe Jamerson on trumpets, Will Winter on French horn, and Casey Wood on tuba.
Rodgers is from western Pennsylvania and retired to St. Augustine, where he can be found playing the organ during a concert or church service. Rodgers studied church music at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey, and spent most of his career as the music director at the Presbyterian Church of Bound Brook in the same state.
This event is a yearly favorite with Romanza regulars, and Gainesville Brass and Tom Rodgers promise a celebration of sound in 2026.
