Romanza Chamber Music Series: RareSong

The early music ensemble RareSong will perform from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the Ancient City Baptist Church.

RareSong is a group of seven dedicated musicians who bring the past to life through music, costumes and drama. RareSong was founded in 2015 and has presented concerts throughout Northeast Florida. Its members search out and perform the music that would have been known to early Florida colonists.

The group has presented more than  20 concerts evoking the musical atmosphere of Europe in the early 15th to 17th centuries. This concert will present a musical snapshot of the years when Florida was explored and founded.

Where: Ancient City Baptist Church is located at 27 Sevilla St. in historic downtown St. Augustine, FL 32084.

This event is part of the Romanza Festivale of Music and the Arts, an annual festival consisting of two weeks of historical, cultural and creative events celebrating all things St. Augustine. From April 29 to May 15, 2022, the nation's oldest city will be jam-packed with music and dance concerts, living history events and historical tours, live theater, art exhibits and much more.
