For the fourth consecutive time, soprano Lisa Lockhart will perform and direct a special headliner concert for Romanza Festivale. This year, on April 28, at 7:30 p.m., she will be joined by bass-baritone Lloyde Reshard and the Florida State College Chorale, directed by Dr. Thomas Shapard. The program, "I, Too, Sing, America," is a celebration in song of Black History in the U.S. Nina Eustaquio is the pianist for the performance, which takes place at the Ancient City Baptist Church.

Ms. Lockhart has performed in musical theatre, opera, and on concert stages in Europe and across the U.S. Ms. Lockhart has a degree from the Boston Conservatory of Music, has a vocal studio in St. Augustine, and is an adjunct vocal instructor at Florida State College in Jacksonville. She has served as Music Director for the Limelight Theatre, and will be the soprano soloist for the St. Augustine Community performance of Mozart's "Coronation Mass" in May.

Mr. Reshard has performed in St. Augustine as the role of Death in "Savitri" and as Sam in "Trouble in Tahiti." He has performed with the Fargo-Moorhead Opera and the St. Petersburg Opera

Dr. Shapard has worked as a conductor, facilitator, and music educator and has directed the choirs of Florida State College in Jacksonville since 2017.

Ms. Eustaquio is the Collaborative Pianst for Florida State College in Jacksonville. She graduated summa cum laude in Music Performance from University of florida, and plays frequently as a solo artist in Northeast Florida.

This event is part of the Romanza Festivale of Music and the Arts, an annual festival consisting of two weeks of historical, cultural and creative events celebrating all things St. Augustine. From April 28 - May 14, 2023, the nation's oldest city will be jam-packed with music and dance concerts, living history events and historical tours, live theater and art exhibits.
