Romanza presents ...

On Sunday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m., the Romanza Festivale presents Lisa Lockhart and Friends in "Sposi Cantanti" ("The Singing Spouses).

This is the seventh year in a row that Lisa has produced and directed a program for Romanaza. Sopranos, Lisa Lockhart and Victoria Isernia are joined on stage by two baritones, Dirk Gavin McCoy (Lockhart's husband), and John Tibbetts, II (Isernia's husband).

The evening's program features songs about the trials and triumphs of love and marriage.

The Performers

Lisa Lockhart-McCoy has produced local productions and sung in musical theatre, opera, and on concert stages in Europe and across the U.S. She holds degrees from The Boston Conservatory of Music and Columbia University Teachers College, and has a vocal studio in St. Augustine. Lockhart-McCoy is an adjunct vocal instructor at Florida State College in Jacksonville.

Dirk Gavin McCoy has performed with the New York City Opera and the Washington National Opera. Now living in St. Augustine, he performs frequently in Northeast Florida for both First Coast Opera and Amelia Island Opera.

Victoria Isernia is an Italian-American soprano who performs frequently in local, regional, and European productions. In the 2025/26 season, she performed with the Teatro Lirico d’Europa in the title role of Carmen, Pitti-Sing in First Coast Opera's production of The Mikado, and as Dinah in Trouble in Tahiti with the Amelia Island Opera.

John Tibbetts, II is the co-founder and artistic director of Amelia Island Opera and performs frequently in Northeast Florida and beyond, including with Opera Tampa, Gulfshore Opera, and Opera Grand Rapids.

Keith Teepen, pianist, accompanies the vocalists during this performance.
